Once upon a time I took a cooking class in high school. We were making sugar cookies for St. Patrick's Day. As I we started to roll out the dough I became confused. "Guys," I said to my group members, "I think we missed a step." "No we didn't," one of them replied looking over the recipe again. Still confused, I replied,"But they're not green." My group looked at me, baffled. "You mean the frosting?" "No," I said, slightly frustrated that they weren't understanding the problem. "When my mom makes sugar cookies for St. Patrick's Day she always dyes the dough so it's green. My cookies are always green." The members of my group just gave me a weird look and continued what they were doing. I learned two things that day: 1) some people don't appreciate the brilliance of dyed sugar cookie dough and 2) "my cookies are always green" is a brilliant title for an autobiography...or in this case a tumblr.
